Sofia Seidi – The Cabinet of Spotless Fears

15.04.–16.07.2023

Pdf flyer

Sofia Seidi is at the beginning of her artistic curatorial dual career. She was born in Madeira in 1997. She studied painting in Lisbon and museology in Coimbra. Seidi is curating an exhibition for budding artist colleagues at the Buchheim Museum entitled The Other Side of the Moon – and at the same time presenting her first solo museum exhibition. In the everyday scenes of her gouaches, she breaks through the expected narratives. The delight in surprise is just as present in the Portuguese artist's fantastic realism as the fear of disaster and failure.
